The AWE32 was based on the E-mu 8000 chip substantially created by Dave Rossum. To this were added our 32 software voices to make the AWE64, one of the most successful sound cards produced. Though it now seems high, I seem to recall that the figure of 18 million units was often mentioned.
19970315 AWE64 includes competing INTERNETed bundle
